SR. SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER E&E EMEA

 

 

JOB PURPOSE

 

Lead sales activity of all polymer products in the assigned territory. The main focus area is Germany and Europe. Next to the core business in Germany, we intend to interact with and leverage on Sabic offices in Europe to boost sales for E&E application in the Region by consultative selling. This role will work in parallel with multiple MDTS (technical support) located in Europe and Morocco. E&E is now part of building and construction. We have an existing customer base next to that we want to develop new customers and new application with strong focus in infrastructure which includes energy transition. It will be key to leverage on our distribution partners throughout the area. Positioning our green materials in close contact with our CE BU will be key as well. The main purpose of the role is to develop the business managing the agreed sales targets: volume, differentiation, premium against E&E business plan.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Build strong relationships externally with value chain partners (customers, OEMs, distributors) Build strong relationships internally with value chain partners (agility to move within a matrix structure)                                                         
  • Work together with the local MDTS to grow our CBD and NPI pipeline                                   
  • Recommend action plans to address over/under supply and align with E&E segment leaders, BU and Regional sales. Oversee forecast and market analysis                        
  • Identify new opportunities including market development and pipeline to achieve sales target short term (6 months) and mid-term 1, 2 years                                                           
  • Lead or support projects cross functionally. Translate best practices in/out of the Region and to/from other segments/industries                                                   
  • Carry on daily operation activities including: negotiating prices, contracts, payment terms and delivery conditions, support customer needs, support claim handling. Regular report about market and competitors’ activities to manager and other internal stakeholder    

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • University degree in either Chemical, mechanical engineering or business administration required       
  • Fluency in  German and English    
  • Good knowledge of plastics industry                        
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within a commercial role either in a segment or regional sales or BU                                        
  • Ability to work autonomously deploying positive attitude and willingness to explore new things.
  • Willingness to travel abroad on a regular basis.
  • Constructive, can do attitude and eagerness to give/receive feedback.
  • Good interpersonal skills in order to build strong relationships with new stakeholders.
  • Strong reporting skills: as we move in a new environment, we will make mistakes. It is important to report out quickly the findings and pursue alternatives supported by direct manager and senior leadership.
