Job Summary
This position prepares and operates extruders and other auxiliary equipment such as conveyors, packaging equipment, and classifiers for production orders. Follows all established and recommended safety and operating procedures to produce quality material.
The position is responsible for following EHS rules and regulations. Training for this position could take place on any shift. After training completion, shift assignment will be on an off-shift.
Training may include “on the job” training, on-line trainings and classroom setting trainings related to the position.
How You Can Be the Impact
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clean and prepare machinery for production of compounds.
- Produce compounds including mixing and extruding.
- Package and transport finished compounds to designated areas.
- Complete all necessary data entry
- Maintain neat, orderly and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety rules and regulations.
- Follow direction from supervisor as required to perform job related tasks.
- Alert supervision to product quality issues as observed.
- Provide Feedback on material processing
- Accurately weigh materials
- Provide feedback on material processing/issues related to equipment and other possible problem areas to meet the desired product quality and delivery targets.
- Must be able to work required overtime in order to meet the needs of the plant and satisfy customer and/or staffing requirements.

- Must be able to lift 55 lbs

Work Availability
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work a 12 hour night shift schedule with rotating days off each week (e.g. Monday – Sunday)] during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs
