Manager, EHSS

Purpose of Role (high level summary of why does position exists and what value it adds to the organization)

 

  • Ensure EHSS policy implementation
  • Make sure compliance of SHEM requirements and constant improvement on EHSS system
  • Make sure 100% compliance of regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical guidance on EHSS with strategies

Responsibilities (key activities and decisions for which only this role is accountable)

 

  • Communication with global EHSS team to follow up global EHS requirements
  • Ensure of compliance with local EHSS regulations and company requirements
  • EHSS regulations update with gap analysis
  • SHEM (SABIC EHSS Program) elements administrator
  • ISO 14001 management
  • Update EHSS permits and submit EHSS reports to local EHS related offices for site facility operation
  • Environment regulation Management (air, water, wastes)
  • SAFER(Risk Assessment) for EHSS risks and hazards
  • EHSS related Training and Education management including training material development
  • Audit & Inspection and Tracking system
  • EHSS program analysis and evaluation
  • EHSS data management / analysis with technical guidance / Reporting
  • E-SHEM (Incident reporting and analysis system) management
  • Site inspection and follow up
  • EHSS program assessment
  • EHSS budget management and analysis

 

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training (degree, training, or certification required)

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industry, Environment and Chemical engineering and Chemistry
  • Fully understanding of EHSS management system
  • Fully understanding of EHSS regulations (air, wastewater, waste, safety)
  • RCA
  • ISO 14001
  • Industrial Hygiene

 

Experience (technical, functional, and/or leadership experience required)

 

  • 10+ years of EHSS engineering experience in EHSS position for multinational company
  • Good in leadership or leadership potential
  • Fully understanding on EHSS regulation requirements
  • EHSS related certification
  • Good MS Office experience, especially with Excel spreadsheet

  • Knowledge of extrusion and compounding process
  • Knowledge in SAP system management for PP module
  • Organizing and planning

  • Skills in office program like excel, power-point and word.
  • English for both verbal and written communication
