Job Summary
The raw material planner manages inventory replenishment for purchased external direct materials and for healthy inventory levels. Stays informed of production requirements/campaign schedules; supplier constraints; alternate materials; and second sourcing to align supply to demand and targets. Work closely with manufacturing sites; technology; procurement and master planners to understand production requirements to support with surety of supply.
Manages 100+ SKUs covering 1.0KT of material monthly.
How You Can Be the Impact
- Manages the replenishment of direct raw materials for finishing & resin production. Reviews and assesses supply demand scenario to determine delivery of raw materials to support production.
- Meet key working capital performance metrics for total inventory levels, health of material stock levels, aged/obsolete inventory, and Delivery to First Promise for sale orders.
- Ensure planning parameters safety stock, reorder points, lead times, order quantities are set properly to optimize the supply chain.
- Work with cross functional teams to maintain/improve surety of supply.
- Be the expert for raw materials MRP planning and supply chain.
- Manages 100+ SKUs covering 1.0KT of material monthly.
- Lead or be team member on projects to drive improvements in service, cash, or cost.
What Matters to SABIC
- BA/BS degree in Business or equivalent highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience one of the following; supply chain functions; MRP Planner; materials management; inventory management; procurement; financial analyst.
- Understand MRP material planning; supply chain operations; external vendors and Procurement processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and execute to deadlines.
- Proven communication and interpersonal/influencing skills at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) as well as other web-based applications.
- Self-starter and detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- SAP experience preferred.
