Job Summary

As a Training Coordinator, you have a natural drive and passion for developing employees. Using your expertise, you will proactively work to bring competency-based education into the future, both in terms of level and learning methodologies.

 

Your main objective is to ensure that the maintenance organization is properly trained and educated for the activities which they need to perform at site. You understand which competencies are required for each role and function in the department and understand which training is needed. You keep an overview of the status of the training program and coordinate with the internal and external developers and trainers to ensure that the training is timely developed and provided.

 

To be able to transfer site specific and personal knowledge from the site and the team members, you support in translating EHSS (Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security) and Technical, Mechanical and Electrical and Instrumentation requirements into the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies for the Maintenance department. Within this department you will work on development, among others, with technicians, planners, supervisors, etc.

 

You will make sure that learning materials and content that are relevant to the target group, utilizing knowledge from Subject Matter Experts and / or suppliers. In addition to designing new content, you will ensure a good practical training setup, an effective learning environment, attention to the Maintenance employees, and play an important role in the change management of the learning processes.

 

In collaboration with the Workforce Development (WFD) team, oversees the learning and training processes at a site level and will be your most important partner. You will contribute to realizing the (future) vision of learning. It goes without saying that you will be supported by WFD and the other training coordinators at site in order for you to collaborate effectively, but also operate independently.

 

 

Job Description

As Training Coordinator for Maintenance you will report directly to the Sr. Manager Maintenance and as such will be part of the Maintenance Staff team. 

As trainer you will also have a direct line with the Workforce Development team and will be working closely together to meet the Maintenance Training targets. In addition, you will have contact with the Training Coordinators of the Operational Departments to align on what is required for a Maintenance team to work safely and effectively in the factories and buildings at the site in Bergen op Zoom.

 

Working Hours

  • This function is a day job function.
  • Balance Indoor / Outdoor: 80 / 20%

  • Directly to the Sr. Manager Maintenance

How You’ll Help Us Move Forward

You will ensure that the Maintenance Team is sufficiently trained in the required aspects of doing their works. You have an overview of the needs and wants related to development and training with the highest priority and checks on trainings related to Compliance and Legislation.

In overall your work consists of:

  • Developing competency-based maintenance training courses, learning pathways, development opportunities, and examinations.
  • Contributing ideas to and implementing new learning techniques.
  • Providing didactic support for changes taking place in the maintenance field.
  • Renewing the practical training organization within the Maintenance department.
  • Supporting managers within maintenance by jointly creating an overview of competencies and developing learning plans for the teams.
  • Guiding and encouraging employees in their learning.

 

Core requirements

  • The right educational background to understand the technical depth of the factories and maintenance activities and translate this into learning materials. You have strong didactic skills.
  • Minimum level MBO 4, preferably HBO level; You can oversee the overall picture of the training programs and distinguish between main and secondary issues.
  • Demonstrable and relevant work experience in a similar function and field.
  • Proven track record in guiding change processes.
  • Proactive and a self-starter, a "can do" mentality.
  • A motivator and a team player.
  • Accurate, independent and ethical.
  • Pro-active and results-driven mindset, including proven perseverance.
  • Proficient in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
