Sr. Analyst, Europe Controllership
Job Summary
The Senior Analyst, Europe Controllership will ensure strong Controllership rigor, appropriate Internal controls, and accurate Accounting and Reporting, in compliance with Local/IFRS rules and local / international law. They will support the quarterly Controllership Review process and execute the required reporting each month. Responsibilities will also include driving clear guidance and communication with Commercial and Operations teams as well as the preparation of Financial Reporting Services to budget and track variances versus actual. This position will also be responsible for local and statutory requirements including government and bank reporting as well as maintenance of internal controls and both internal and external audit support. Additional responsibilities may also include special project support, and unique project support.
How You Can Be the Impact
- Ensure compliance of legal entity financial reporting with SABIC accounting principles, incl. review of management judgements, guarantees and impairments
- Prepare, analyze, and verify the accuracy of financial statements (balance sheet, P&L)
- Support of local regulatory financial reporting requirements
- Partner with external auditors to ensure full compliance and signoff of financial statements and government filings
- Assist, align and provide input to regional focal points on unusual manual journal entries allocations and reconciliations, prepared by accounting teams
- Monitor period-end adjustments for respective legal entities in region
- Identify opportunities to automate or streamline manual accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Project participation
- Ad hoc analysis and response to business requests
What Matters to SABIC
- Accounting or Finance degree or equivalent
- 5+ years finance/accounting experience
