The WFDCI department drives operational excellence, actively strengthening the capabilities or the employees and the organization. It is a small team with a great team spirit. There is 1 Specialist Operation Excellence in this team.


Job Purpose & Responsibilities


The purpose of this position is to provide ongoing effort to enhance the sites processes to drive the manufacturing excellence vision and improve the performance on the various value drivers inside the organization.

  • Act as role model and lead lean cultural initiatives, facilitate lean workshops for practitioners and leadership, coach improvement initiatives, teams and learner Greenbelts.
  • Govern the processes of Risk Management, Business Continuity, Performance Management, Operating Rhythm and Organizational Effectiveness to support management in business planning to achieve our site vision and goals.
  • Enhance the quality and consistency of SABIC manufacturing processes, products and services by standardization and application of world-class continual improvement tools and techniques.
  • Project and change management of CI initiatives.



  • Academic level: Technische bedrijfskunde, Minimum Bachelor and/or Master's Degree and/or Technical Equivalent in Chemical engineering or Industrial engineering. We are looking for a candidate with a combination of technical operational, chemical expertise and business process expertise.  
  • Preferably Lean Blackbelt or Green Belt with experience in delivering lean workshops and willing to become Black Belt.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in technical operational roles and ready for a next step in leading site and teams to excellence.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English (written and oral)
  • Selfstarter, integer, reliable, having personal “rapport”/ authority, high emotional intelligence, able to relate to all levels in the organization (communication for impact and strong stakeholder management), able to work on various tasks at the same time.
  • Proficiency in using Office, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel etc
  • Ability to work on own and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in multi cultural environment with stakeholders of all levels
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
