Site Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

 

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Site infrastructure engineer to oversee, maintain, and continuously improve the critical infrastructure that keeps our site operating smoothly. This role spans a diverse range of responsibilities—from managing HVAC systems and site utilities to supporting major asset replacements such as roofing and other structural components.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on engineering experience with strong planning and analytical skills. You will work closely with our Contracts and Procurement team to provide engineering expertise, support vendor evaluations, and ensure that maintenance and project activities meet high standards of safety, quality, and reliability. In addition, you will lead the development of a long-term asset strategy and capital investment plan with a 5–10 year horizon.

 

How You Can Be the Impact

 

  • Oversee day-to-day management and performance of site infrastructure systems, including:
  • HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Site utilities (water, electrical, drainage, etc.)
  • Structural and building systems (e.g., roof replacements, building envelope)
  • Other critical assets supporting smooth site operations
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Provide engineering advice and technical guidance to the Contracts team during tender preparation, supplier selection, and contract reviews.
  • Evaluate asset condition, performance trends, and lifecycle requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a 5–10 year asset management and capital expenditure (CAPEX) plan, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational needs.
  • Support and lead facilities improvement projects from concept to execution, ensuring compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and asset records.
  • Drive continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and operational reliability across the site.

 

What Matters to SABIC

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or Facilities Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience managing diverse site infrastructure systems, HVAC equipment, and building/facilities assets.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and capital planning.
  • Experience collaborating with contracting or procurement teams is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to issue resolution.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
