Senior Analyst, Europe Financial Closing

Job Summary

 

The Senior Analyst, Europe Financial closing will be a lead player in the European Closing process to ensure an accurate, timely and streamlined Closing. This role will ensure appropriate Internal controls, and accurate Accounting and Reports, in compliance with Local/IFRS rules and local / international law. Responsibilities will also be to support all accounting operations related to the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting and accounts payable support. This role is critical for ensuring that financial data is accurate, compliant, and ready for internal and external audits. This role drives clear guidance and communication with Commercial and Operations teams and preparation of Financial Reporting Services to budget and track variances versus actual. This position will also be responsible for the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, maintenance of internal controls and both internal and external audit support.  Additional responsibilities may also include special process support, and unique project support.

 

 

How You Can Be the Impact

 

  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for all balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Prepare, analyze, and verify the accuracy of financial statements (balance sheet, P&L)
  • Support the Business and IT on systems implementations / solutions
  • Support of local regulatory financial reporting requirements
  • Partner with external auditors to ensure full compliance and signoff of financial statements and government filings
  • Execute intercompany billing, settlements, and reconciliations as required
  • Support Accounts Payable operations for your region with a focus on invoice management
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline manual accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Project participation
  • Ad hoc analysis and response to business requests  

 

What Matters to SABIC

 

  • Accounting or Finance degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years finance/accounting experience
