Manager Compounding Maintenance
The SABIC Bergen op Zoom facilities manufacture plastics in the form of high-grade pellets that enable our customers to produce a wide range of end products. Our maintenance organization maintains all production assets on site with corrective, preventive and condition-based maintenance. We work closely with selected contractors to perform all maintenance activities. Our facility organization takes care of our non-manufacturing assets.
Within the maintenance team we are looking for a Maintenance Manager Compounding SABIC Bergen op Zoom.
In this role you are a member of the maintenance staff team responsible for the safe execution of maintenance tasks in our chemical maintenance plants. You will manage a team (40 FTE +) consisting of maintenance engineers, supervisors and technicians. Your internal customers are from divers businesses with specific service requirements. As manager you will frequently interact with other departments to assure the services can be provided efficient. You will be part of the extended site staff team giving you opportunities to contribute to improvements beyond your direct responsibility in our journey of continuous improvement.
Your role
- Managing a team of 40+ FTE professionals that keep our chemical plants running 24/7. This requires execution of the maintenance schedule as delivered by Central Maintenance and addressing the unexpected failures.
- Jointly responsible for overall performance of Maintenance on site.
- Ensure both internal as contracted work can and will be executed safe and delivered within our quality parameters. Representing maintenance in the compounding plant management teams of Petchem, Functional Forms and the SABIC Specialty Business.
- Responsible for implementing uniform procedures / work in accordance with the work processes used within our Operation Management System. Looks beyond the boundaries of the various clusters; takes measures and makes suggestions that improve these processes. Makes results-oriented agreements with the relevant people to achieve this.
- You are responsible for the required formation to ensure safe work execution within budget. Ensure development of our personnel in line with the contracting strategy and developments of our assets.
- Evaluates periodic results (KPIs) communicates these to the relevant people; encourages and facilitates improvement and drives changes to ensure continual improvement toward top performance.
- You interact with the asset management and the Engineering and Project organization to ensure the inflow and outflow of maintenance plans can be positioned in the team.
Your experience
- HBO+ or WO (Bsc/Msc) degree. You have extended working experience (3-5+ years) in leading a technical team.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both in speech and writing.
- Experience working with contractors.
- You have strong personality & communicating skills that enables you to interact and implement changes from site management level to shop floor.
