Job Summary
The NexPoint Materials Bergen op Zoom facilities manufacture plastics in the form of high-grade pellets and sheets that enable our customers to produce a wide range of end products. Our maintenance organization maintains all production assets on site with corrective, preventive and condition-based maintenance. We work closely with selected contractors to perform all maintenance activities. Our facility organization takes care of our non-manufacturing assets.
Within the maintenance team we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer.
How You’ll Help Us Move Forward
- From your discipline, you provide expertise and a substantive contribution to the handling of common issues within the plant. You offer (daily) support to the Operations and Maintenance execution team.
- You keep an overview of daily work and projects and balance between short term and long-term solutions.
- You examine the quality and quantity of (preventive) maintenance on the unit(s) responsible and make proposals for improvement.
- You make analyses, evaluate the maintenance work carried out, and discuss these with the relevant stakeholders.
- You will act as project manager on behalf of Maintenance for large jobs and 1 on 1 related "Urgent Replacements & Small Projects".
- You also contribute by participating in studies, projects and working with the team on 'Asset Performance'.
- You are involved in the effective and efficient execution of plant turnarounds.

- Contribute to Manufacturing projects across The Netherlands and globally.

Core requirements
- Bachelor and/or master’s degree or Equivalent in Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and/or related Degree of study.
- Excellent Conceptual, Communication and Analytical Skills.
- Fluency (both written and Oral) in Dutch and English.
- Excellent presentation and network skills.
- Proficiency in IT/various connecting IT systems such as Office, SAP, reporting, etc.
- Experience with working in multi-cultural and diverse environment.
- Technical expertise in electrical, instrumentation and/or mechanical.
- You have at least 2 years’ work experience in engineering.
- Be able to perform tasks carefully and independently and respond quickly and accurately to changes in process or organization.
- Creative and driven to tackle problems at the core.
- Result oriented, perseverance, ability to work accurately.
