Analyst, Europe Product Costing / Fixed Assets
Job Summary
The Analyst Product Costing / Fixed Assets will work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Controllership, EPM and GL Close team to assure accurate and timely creation of auditable financial statements for multiple manufacturing sites, possibly including joint ventures. They will support the European teams ensuring strong closing rigor, appropriate Internal controls, and accurate Accounting and Reporting, in compliance with Local/IFRS rules and local / international law. The position will run fixed asset settlements as well as depreciation and validate balance sheet transactions accordingly. This role will execute monthly journal entries as well as manage FX revaluation and oversee local VAT compliance in accordance with local tax. Responsibilities will also include preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, oversight of monthly cycle counting, collaboration with manufacturing on planning and execution of the annual physical inventory, implementation and maintenance of internal controls and both internal and external audit support. Additional responsibilities may also include freight analysis, unique process ownership and special project support.
How You Can Be the Impact
- Ensure compliance of legal entity financial reporting with SABIC accounting principles, including review of management judgements, guarantees and impairments
- Period end closings for assigned sites, JV's and product lines
- Inventory analysis and reporting, and support internal and external audits
- Cycle counting oversight
- Keep high standard quality on the Account Reconciliations process
- Fixed asset settlements for all of Europe as well as respective depreciation runs
- Strong partnerships with manufacturing teams in accordance with asset maintenance
- IFRS16 Valuation of contracts, and the setting up of new agreements accordingly as well as the monthly management of bookings
- Key closing responsibilities including FX valuation for Europe LE’s as well as PCA cycles
- Support the business with analysis, providing inputs from taxes and Controllership perspective to include respective local VAT compliance
- Review and approval of handling of local regulatory financial reporting requirements
What Matters to SABIC
- Accounting, Finance or similar degree
- 3-5+ years finance/accounting experience
