(Sr) Analyst, Europe Credit Collections & Cash App

 

Job Summary

 

The Analyst, Europe Credit Collections & Cash Application will be responsible for supporting the Account Receivable ledger closing, meeting Key Performance Index (KPI) and generating AR management reports. This role will be responsible for the AR ledger closing activities, cash application and preparing relevant AR reports to ensure accuracy and completeness on monthly basis. This role will also prepare monthly AR account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and correctly reconciled to GL with supportive documents. Additionally, the role will perform cash application responsibilities by accurately applying daily customer payments to corresponding invoices and reconciling bank deposits and unapplied cash addressing discrepancies and executing on the proper form of customer reconciliation. Other responsibilities may also include special project support, and unique project support.

 

How You Can Be the Impact

 

  • Manage shipment release and follow up on timely collections to improve DSO, minimize overdue % and bad debt
  • Recommend credit hold, final demand and legal actions to resolve past dues and customer disputes in timely manner
  • Support AR ledger closing activities and prepare relevant AR reports to ensure accuracy and completeness on monthly basis
  • Prepare monthly AR account reconciliation for relevant accounts to ensure accuracy and correctly reconciled to GL with supportive documents
  • Prepare monthly forecast of AR performance for designated team
  • Clear outstanding AR receipts and invoices in timely manner to present up-to-date AR balance for assigned customer portfolios
  • Accurately apply daily customer payments, including checks, wire transfers, ACH, and credit cards, to corresponding invoices
  • Investigate customer deductions, short payments, and chargebacks, and work with the accounts receivable team to resolve them
  • Reconcile bank deposits and unapplied cash, addressing discrepancies, overpayments, or underpayments
  • Ad – Hoc Reporting / Special Projects

 

What Matters to SABIC

 

  • Accounting or Finance degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years finance/accounting experience
