JOB PURPOSE
Accountable for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in the region in terms of SC service, Total Cost Out, and Working capital. Responsible for managing multi-disciplinary projects, ranging from large (global) SC projects roll-outs in the region, regional improvements as well as business enablement projects (e.g. STAR). Closely cooperates with regional SC organizations, business management, manufacturing and external stakeholders (e.g. LSPs, authorities). On occasion, manages global initiatives. Introduces new business processes, systems and SC infrastructure (warehouses, hubs). Accountable for change management activities and embedding projects into the regional organizations.
• Continuous Improvement of the Value Chain by managing supply chain programs and projects, including Change management
• Leading execution of large SC projects, regional multi-disciplinary projects and enhancements, which are conditional for the realization of the Regional and Global Business strategy and initiatives (for instance Scout, Teesside Gas cracking, Certified Renewables, India E-invoicing)
• Initiate feasibility studies by performing business case analyses and pilots to identify fields of improvement
• Accountable for delivering Total Cost out, driving cost initiatives, according to the year targets on the budget
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Qualifications (Degree training, or certification required):
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, SC Management or other adequate discipline
- Additional Supply Chain specific education (e.g. APICS) and/or an additional advanced degree (MBA, PhD, etc.) is preferred
• Minimum Experience (Technical, functional, and/or leadership experience required):
- 5+ years SC working experience, including in international SC functions, ideally in the petrochemicals industry
- Solid experience in project management
- Extensive experience with business process redesign projects, ERP systems and related change management
• Job Specific Skills (Key functional, leadership, or business skills required):
- Strong leadership and business acumen
- In-depth knowledge of all key Supply Chain processes
- Innovation skills and in-depth knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and other new technological developments

- Solid knowledge of IT Tools, especially ERP and APO systems (SAP) as well as other leading SC tools available in the market.
