Job Summary

The Electrical Reliability Engineer is a critical role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the site's electrical infrastructure. This position requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, as well as excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.

 

How You Can Be The Impact

  • Provide technical support and expertise on electrical and instrument systems to site Maintenance and Operations teams.
  • Develop and optimize equipment strategies based on Asset Criticality and known failure modes.
  • Lead efforts to eliminate performance killers and improve overall system reliability.
  • Serve as the site's EIRP and assist in the development and delivery of training for all site employees who work on electrical systems.
  • Validate the competency of all site and contractor employees working on electrical systems.
  • Lead and/or participate in APM activities such as Asset Criticality Assessment (ACA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
  • Provide technical knowledge to identify equipment risks and create effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead inspection processes, including planning, analysis, and reporting results.
  • Lead complex RCA investigations and FMEA studies.  Implement associated actions to  improve system reliability.
  • Own and oversee a 5-year to 10-year Capital Maintenance Plan based on Asset Life Analysis (ALA) and defined maintenance strategies.

 

What Matters To SABIC

  • BS in Electrical Engineering (or related field) 
  • 3-5 years of experience in an electrical/reliability engineering position preferred
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with high reliability and self-reliance
  • In-depth understanding of maintenance and reliability processes and tools
  • Ability to inspire and guide others toward identifying and achieving vision and goals
  • Demonstrated ability to meet program and/or operating plan

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work Monday – Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
