Manager, India EHSS

Job Summary 
Drives EHSS culture at the site with the right level of rigor. Creates a cohesive and collaborative environment at the site to help the organization be safe, secure and compliant. Ensures that environmental safety and health programs are in compliance with all industry, local and national government regulations. Directs the evaluation and control of all hazards to ensure safe, healthy and accident-free work environment, promotes the awareness of environmental safety and health among all employees in the site. 


How You Can Be the Impact
•    Keeps the organization updated of the governmental regulatory requirements. Communicates with Asia-pacific region to assure updates of program’s requirements.
•    Develop annual training programs for other functions on EHS standards.
•    Monitors safety and health performance and recommends priorities and actions for improvement.   Carries out self-assessment, identifies common environmental, safety and health hazards inherent in the organization’s operations and establishes guidelines for protection from hazards.
•    Investigates major accidents or problem areas and prepares accident reports.
•    Coordinates EHS project activities with operation and other technical departments to ensure appropriate resources in project completion.
•    Works out annual EHS budget for plant manager approval. Monitors each spending item to ensure alignment with budget.
•    Monitors environmental conditions, security and safety and assures the organization’s operations consistent with industry hygiene standards.
•    Ensures/assesses the expansion project in compliance with related regulation for approval.
•    Develop, Drive & communicate safety behavior with entire STC B organization.

What Matters to SABIC (Job Requirements)
Education & Training (degree, training, or certification required)
•    Bachelor’s degree or above in safety, environmental protection or chemical engineering
Experience (technical, functional, and/or leadership experience required)
•    15+ years’ experience in EHS field in medium to large chemical companies. Experience in R&D of chemical or pharmaceutical company is most preferred.
