Sr. Manager, India Assets Management

Location:  India-Bangalore 

 

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for the safety and security of employees/visitors, effective and efficient operations of the Technology & Innovation (T&I) sites in the specified location. Facilitates the execution of T&I innovation programs via insuring appropriate resources, including infrastructure and human resources, available to support SABIC’s objectives and strategies. Responsible for the site EHSS, Operations & Maintenance of the SABIC Technology Center locations, providing world class, state-of-the-art Technology and innovation facilities. Provides overall leadership and direction to direct reports responsible for leading, insourcing, outsourcing and continuously build, develop and maintain the right asset capabilities enabling innovations. Owner and implementer of OPEX and CAPEX programs.  Drive the supply chain coordination and warehousing operations to the best efficiency to enable R&D user’s productivity at site. To spearhead the special assignments like energy management, digitization etc as per organization continuous improvement agenda.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Accountable for running and managing the day-to-day operations/activities of the T&I Center in India, in support of company businesses’ needs, providing expertise, encouraging and ensuring teamwork, aligning work processes in order to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets, objectives and employee engagement in a motivated work environment.
  • Accountable for the overall Environment, Health, Safety and Security at STC-B including laboratories and/or pilot units in India in order to assure compliance with local legislation and SABIC’s overall SHE requirements. Strategize and develop EHSS continuous improvement program as per organizational goals and objectives and ensure successful implementation.                                      
  • Leading and Maintaining the current installations (Labs, Pilot Plants, Facility equipment’s & Buildings), all CAPEX programs and to drive the effective, efficient utilization of these assets through value engineering and project optimization techniques. Accountable for implementation of all Engineering projects on site(s), including pilot plants, mini plants, labs, offices and others with strict adherence to safety protocols and best safety performance.                       
  • Build and drive site’s footprint operations, maintain longer term strategy and improvement plans and ensure the reliability of the assets by adhering world class operation and maintenance systems, in close cooperation with key stakeholders.
  • Liaises and coordinates with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to support and ensure execution and smooth flow of the company’s business. As the T&I external representative, maintain an extensive network of internal and external contacts to ensure that the Technology and Innovation function is optimally placed in its understanding of commercial challenges and opportunities.     
  • In close coordination with key stakeholders, secure adequate staffing and training in disciplines related to SABIC’s business. Build and develop the EHSS, Operations & Maintenance team by recruiting talents, developing team’s expertise, energizing the team and retaining the best talents.                         

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering  /Masters degree                             
  • Min 15 years of experience in technical field (operations, maintenance, engineering and EHSS as well, strong leadership style, Cost leadership is very essential for this role since the CAPEX/G&A is high
  • Leadership skills in operations, maintenance, project management and cost leadership. Executive presence and style. Strong basics in other functions.                                   
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, Lateral thinking, conflict management, communication, collaboration and coordination, Managing information & Data, collaboration, cultural and global citizenship
