SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER, CHEMICALS

 

JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets for designated customers, product portfolio or area within Chemicals in alignment with the Business plan and Sales plan.

He/She is also responsible to develop annual account plans for assigned products/area and ensure smooth process with all involved parties of the entire sales transaction (complete follow up from contracts entering until final payment)

 

  • Execute sales activities in line with the business plans, sales plans and local legislation
  • Maintain/Develop the sales of existing customers as well as Develop and Acquire new customers
  • Negotiate sales contracts under the approval/supervision of the Sales Lead
  • Improve price/margin performance of Sales against benchmark
  • Pro- actively take actions to secure uninterrupted supply and demand processes for the assigned clusters of customers/products.
  • Responsible for sales forecast and as such contributing to delivery capability and inventory levels (product availability), as well as delivery reliability
  • Manage Technical Approvals for Materials (applications)
  • Provide monthly sales report about the market activities and sales performances
  • Identify new applications/market segments, including low carbon solutions.
  • Track and inform relevant marketing intelligence information on competition, S/D balance, new trends, etc.
  • Special assignments (i.e.; market investigations, customer satisfaction improvement, trends in legislation and product quality)

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • BS/BA Business/Marketing/Technical Degree (e.g. Chemistry)-MSc preferred
  • 3-7years of experience preferably in Sales, Procurement or other Commercial role
  • Knowledge on relevant IT tools such as SAP
  • Strongly developed negotiation and sales persuasion skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of positioning of SABIC materials and applications
  • Organized with ability to prioritize workload
  • Team Player
