Job Summary

 

Drive the balance between Demand and Supply, optimizing Inventory strategy levels in alignment with Business team (total on-hand volume, transit, turns, prime x non-prime, aging inventory).

 

How You Can Be the Impact

 

  • Support Regional and Global S&OP Supply Plan and translate into a domestic / imports replenishment plan in order to stablish and secure an uninterrupted customer order process.

  • Develops a variety of business cases to senior leaders (mainly SC and BU) to make demand, allocation, supply, capacity, utilization, cost, and inventory decisions.

  • Coordinates best inventory strategy and execution with the lowest impact on working capital (prime, slow moving and off spec).

  • In-depth understanding of customers, products, markets, and trends in order to develop high-level supply plans into actionable and realistic fulfilment and inventory strategies.

  • Balances commercial and market requirements with commodities operational rigor to create optimized supply strategies for Americas region.

  • Reach expected levels of Production Plan Accuracy, managing and monitoring Push Heuristic planning model in SAP.

  • Active member of GCGV Grade Slate & Production Planning Committee, facilitating the connections between all partners on Annual and Monthly cycles to deliver on time: Production Grade Wheel, Production Plan, Off Take plan and 3 month rolling forecast tactical plans.

  • PE Plants Outages Planning and preparations (imports and local production GCGV).

  • Lead or be team member on projects to drive improvements in service, cash, or cost.

 

What Matters to SABIC

 

  • BS/BA Degree.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.

  • Previous experience in Supply Chain, preferably in Planning, dealing with commodity industrial business.

  • Demonstrated ability to use analytical tools to solve business problems.

  • Proven expertise in SAP supply planning.

  • Proven exceptional communication and interpersonal/influencing skills at all levels of an organization.

  • Demonstrated leadership, team building, and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and execute to deadlines.

  • Flexible in scheduling around quarterly planning process – able to work nights / weekends during this time due to communications with global teams.

  • Mandatory fluency in English; Spanish desired.        

  • Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certified desired.

  • Experience on Commodity (PE, PP) Materials Planning, Supply Planning, or manufacturing desired.
