Logistics Cost Analyst – The Netherlands, Bergen op Zoom

This role reports to the Manager Logistics

 

DEPARTMENT

The Logistics Cost Analyst is part of the operational team in the logistics department of SABIC Specialties Supply Chain, reporting to the Manager Logistics.

The team consists of 7 employees and focuses on the distribution, transport, warehouse (DTW) and cost activities.

The Team is dedicated to serve all our customer by delivering best in class levels of logistics performance and quality in line with our safety & compliance standards.

 

JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Within this role you are in contact various internal stakeholders and our (LSP) Logistic Service Providers (3PL/4PL). 

  • Track, Trace and Control the warehousing and distribution costs for SHPP Europe and be able to draw conclusions and improvements from the data.
  • Distribution, Transport and warehouse (DTW) invoice validation, coding and approval in applicable systems.
  • Execute (DTW) financial month and year end closing. Carry out and monitoring all activities associated with the financial closing including accruals.
  • Analyze monthly DTW cost reports and compare to budget, indicating trends/developments and possible causes, processing information in periodic reports, KPI dashboard, etc.
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities within the scope of cost control work processes.
  • Keep Knowledge Management documentation (processes, procedures and work instructions) up-to-date and pro-actively share knowledge with colleagues.

 

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

The ideal candidate has a solid Supply Chain background and understands business nature, relationships and interdependencies with other Supply Chain functions.

Work independently in a rapid changing environment, taking responsibility for delivery of business expectations

  • MBO 4 or Bachelor level, degree in Business, Logistics or comparable is considered a plus
  • Minimal 2 years’ experience within Supply Chain or Logistics.
  • Meticulous and results oriented with strong attention to details and accuracy.
  • Excellent understanding of key business processes and organizational dynamics
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • SAP knowledge, preferably within the LE domain..
  • Develops network and learns to understand how to effectively use this in order to solving problems.
  • Strong communication skills and capable to communicate at different levels in an organization.
  • Ability to lead or contribute to improvement initiatives within the scope of your role.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (both verbal and written)
  • Pro-active mindset and ability to operate both independently and as a team member.
  • This position is located in Bergen op Zoom ( NL ) , we are looking for candidates with already a valid work permit. Remote working is possible for 2-3 days a week for this fulltime position.

 

The role involves peak loads during certain activities, including periodic closures and reporting.
